Seems like Canada has gone to shit over the last 10 years. WTF happened?

We need to have transparency and accountability for the government and sensible politicians!!!

Economy

1) Stagnant Economy: Despite record deficits, low capital investment and productivity has stalled GDP per capita growth.

2) Uncontrolled Deficit: Government spending is far exceeds tax revenues and is projected to continue indefinitely.

3) Record Debt: The pandemic and massive deficits increased federal debt to the highest level in generations.

4) Weak Currency: Canadian dollar hitting record lows contributing to a decline in domestic wealth and more expensive imports driving inflation.

Quality of Life

1) Excessive Unvetted Immigration: Unprecedented population growth exacerbating shortages in housing, jobs and healthcare.

2) Unaffordable Housing: Limited incentives and poor planning has led to housing shortages, extreme prices and record household borrowing.

3) Broken Healthcare System: Under-investment and inefficiency has led to shortages in family doctors and extreme wait times.

4) Record Drug Overdoses: Since 2016, Opioid toxicity deaths increased by 2.5x from 2,831 to 8,480. Hundreds of thousands of Canadians have had their lives destroyed by drug use.

5) Increasing Crime: As a result of lack of policing and lenient prosecution, violent crimes have increased annually since 2014. Since 2018, car thefts costs have increased 3x to $1.5B.

Inefficiency & Incompetence

• $300 billion: Amount of investment needed to replace Canada’s aging infrastructure
• $28 billion: The Transmountain pipeline was completed at a cost of $34 billion compared to the original estimate of under $6 billion
